Bedroom Progress.

Here are some photos of our bedroom decorating progress.  I don’t think they are the best pictures in the world, mostly because I don’t have a good wide angle lens.  I used the kit lens from my Nikon D60 and the fish-eye adapter I got from my father-in-law for Christmas.  It’s getting dark outside as well.  Boo.

Finally got the headboard done and up.  We ended up putting legs on that sucker because we just couldn’t find it in ourselves to deal with measuring, drilling holes, putting in huge drywall anchors, measuring, screaming obscenities, and then crying. :)

As you can see, we have a huuuuuuge bed and a tiny 12′X12′ bedroom.  What’s a bedroom for if you aren’t gonna fill it up with a bed though.  That’s our philosophy!

(Brett’s Kindle on the bed!  Thank God he found it.  And my beloved sleep mask.  Whoops.)

The cute little chair we found at Cost Plus World Market on sale.  I made the pillow out of the headboard fabric, which was a sheet set we lucked up on finding at Ross.

It’s coming along nicely.  I want to get a little capiz chandelier and some art up on the walls.  Before taking pictures of the room, it didn’t bother me that much that there was really nothing on the walls.  Now it feels like the room is definitely lacking on pizazz.

Not pictured is our skanky hand-me-down dresser that has been in my family for more than ten years.  It needs to be repainted because it is currently an ivory color that doesn’t jazz well with the excessive white.

I guess I should write up a post about putting the headboard together.  Without pictures of the entire process, it seems kind of a moot point unless someone is really interested in step by step directions.
