No repeat of last week, please!

Class.

I miss our honeymoon.  I would love to go back to Savannah, if not just to relive feeling awesome and rich even though we aren’t rich and, well, kinda not that awesome.

Last week was incredibly difficult for me.  I’ve never been so glad to see a weekend than I was last Friday.  Monday started out rough.  Tuesday wasn’t any better, especially since I attempted to rush for a music fraternity where I thought I would fit in a little better only to find that I am, in fact, too old for pretty much any typical college organization.

Age is just a number, and despite my immaturity at times, I’m not able to get into the swing of being a sociable, swingin’, partyin’ college kid.  I was that when I was, oh, 19, and was a “typical” college student for about two years.  Then I became an old person and have stayed that way.  Everyone seemed totally shocked that I was married and even got weird about it.

There was one day in there that I dissolved into a puddle of emotional wreck and cried hysterically for a while.

I don’t remember Wednesday very well.  I just know I put off studying for a French test to the point of missing Tennessee history on Thursday in order to finish studying for French.

It was all a blur of crappy week.  Bleh.

I’m hoping this week will bring something better, especially since I’m determined to really get down to doing a lot of my “home improvement” projects, as well as finishing my blog update.

The weekend was full of fun: shopping, attempting to thrift, sleeping way too late, and generally being disconnected from school and, in Brett’s case, work related things.  I got a little distracted from the blog, of course, but back to the grind stone tomorrow!

My to-do list keeps growing and growing with homework assignments, home improvement projects, photos I need to put on DVDs and mail to their respective homes, and a video of our snow day that needs to be pieced together, edited, and uploaded to Vimeo.  That’s only a small portion of what’s in queue that begs to be done.  On top of that, I need to find at least a part time job.

I really don’t know how I would survive in the “real” world, or in a world that consisted of balancing a 40+ hour workweek and life as a spouse, potentially a mother.  Wow.  Insanity.

I hope everyone has a great week.  It seems like many people I know were having such a rough week last week.  Don’t know what was in the atmosphere, but I definitely felt a lot of people struggling through the week.

Yeah last week was a mess. I’m in a much better head space this week though. It’s only Tuesday but I feel like this week is flying by. Last week went by so slow!
